TOGETHER WE WILL…

Welcome to the 2017-18 Academic Year!

Autumn ‘17 ushers in the first Health Sciences general assignment classroom designed to facilitate active learning. Located in the South Campus Center, the classroom seats 120 students at 15 tables equipped with power and data connections. Adaptive flexibility includes an AV bridge agnostic to conferencing software, video capture, and whiteboard and 4k digital displays at each table. Over the summer, we completed an AV upgrade in the T625 lecture hall and a classroom remodel to T498 that doubles the capacity from 25 to 50 students.

In the coming months, digital signage will be installed at key locations in the Magnusson Health Sciences Building (HSB), noted as the world’s largest single university building. Funded through the Student Technology Fee, signs will display information useful to students, such as building information, classroom location, notification and location of learning events, and display of course schedules.

We heartily welcome the roughly 3,500 students that will learn in HSB classrooms this quarter!
